Series events are events that have multiple dates, but unlike recurrent events, they have connected registration. This means that if there are three events in the series, then registration is shared across all three events. It is NOT possible to register for only one event in a series. Once the first date in the event series has passed, guests can no longer register for the series.
If this does NOT sound like the type of event you want to create, please refer to Creating a Recurrent Event or Creating a Multiple Day Event.
To make a SERIES event, start by making a standalone event. As always, you'll start in your dashboard, by clicking NEW EVENT. The standalone event you create should be the first event (chronologically) in your series.
For more information regarding how to create a standalone event, refer to Creating a Free Event or Creating a Ticketed Event.
Once you've created the first event in your series, you can SCHEDULE the remaining events to create a series. To do this, click the calendar icon in the SCHEDULE column that corresponds with your event.
You'll be redirected to the SET SCHEDULE FOR... page. Select SERIES.
If your series is free, leave the PRICE textbox as $0. If your series is ticketed, type the price of your ticket into the PRICE textbox. If you want fees to be included in the display price, select INCLUDE FEES IN PRICE.
Now, you can choose the schedule for the series. The STANDARD table has selections for typical chronological patterns.
The CUSTOM table has options for atypical patterns.
Next, choose when you want your series to finalize in the COMPLETES table. If you have an exact number of events contained within the series, select AFTER. Then, type in the number of individual events within the series.
If you know the exact date that you want the series to finalize, you can utilize the calendar function on the left to choose a specific date.
Once you've chosen the completion date, click GENERATE SCHEDULE.
The individual occurrences will appear on the right. If there are any dates you don't need in your series, you can remove them by clicking the red trash can icon in the corresponding row.
If there are any additional dates you'd like to add, click ADD EVENT DATE, utilize the calendar picker tool, then click ADD.
Once the dates listed are accurate to your series specifications, click SAVE SCHEDULE.
The CONFIRM SCHEDULE modal will open with the complete set of dates within the recurrence. Click SAVE AND LAUNCH SCHEDULE.
Click CLOSE AND RELOAD DASHBOARD.
You can see that the event you created is now a series, because it has a SERIES label to the left of the event title. The green number indicates how many individual events are contained within the series.
If you click the green number icon, a panel on the right will expand with all of the individual events within that series. From here, you can click on individual events to edit them.
Click EDIT PRICE to amend the ticket cost of a series event.
You can also copy a series event. For example, I want to copy this series, because we're hosting it again later in the year. I will click the COPY icon that corresponds with this event.
Click STAND-ALONE. The window will expand with more options. Choose CREATE SINGLE COPY WITH DATE. Select the date of the first event in the new series. Type the name of your new series into the NAME textbox. Then, click SAVE.
Your new, copied series will now appear in your dashboard.
