If you have a ticketed event, you may want to apply BILL ME LATER functions to your ticket(s).
Bill Me Later allows purchasers to reserve a ticket, without paying the full cost at point of purchase. This tool is useful for events with pricier tickets. For example, if you're running a charity gala with tickets that range from $1,000 - $10,000, you'd likely want to integrate the bill me later option, as guests will be hesitant to put the full charge on their credit card.
To activate Bill Me Later, first navigate to TICKETS.
First, create your tickets. For more information on this process, refer to Creating a Ticketed Event.
Once you've created your tickets, click the ticket that you want to enable bill me later for.
The ticket window will expand. Click the BILL ME LATER button.
The BILL ME LATER window will appear. In the ENABLE BILL ME LATER drop down menu, choose TRUE.
In the CONFIRMATION EMAIL drop down menu, the only option will be BILL ME LATER TICKET CONFIRMATION. Click SAVE.
When you've applied Bill Me Later to a ticket, there will be a check mark in the button. If you'd like Bill Me Later fees to be included in the set price for the purchaser, check the box next to INCLUDE FEES IN PRICE. Click SAVE once you've finished amending this ticket.
Next, navigate to EMAILS.
Click the BILL ME LATER TICKET CONFIRMATION.
The YOUR BILL ME LATER TICKET CONFIRMATION window will appear. Make any amendments that you want to the template, then press SAVE.
When you've initiated bill me later for a ticket, and made those tickets available on your event webpage, it will appear like this:
When people go to purchase a ticket, they follow the normal protocol of entering their contact details, then click CONTINUE TO PAYMENT.
If the purchaser wants to apply bill me later, they must check the box next to BILL ME LATER on the payment page.
The CONFIRM PAYMENT METHOD window will appear, with more details regarding the terms of the purchase.
After they've entered their credit card details, the purchaser will receive another reminder about the bill me later terms. They must check the box next to the acknowledgement then click ACCEPT & PROCEED.
