After you've created your room layout, you'll want to seat your guests. To do this click SEATING, then SEAT GUESTS.
This is where you assign groups or individuals to the specific tables you created in room layout. The idea is that you bring people into the STAGING AREA, then place them in tables from there.
If you click the INDIVIDUALS button, a drop down menu will appear with the guests that are currently available to be seated.
PRIORITY 5 refers to the guests that belong to that priority group (more on that below)
REGISTER refers to the total number of guests who have registered for this event.
VIP refers to the guests that I have tagged as VIP.
To start, let's place the VIP people at the VIP tables I created. To do this, click VIP.
All of the people currently tagged as VIP in my guest list will appear in the STAGING AREA. To place an individual at a table, click the table, then click the name you want to add.
For example, I want to add Amir Gholami to VIP2. Therefore, I'll click that table, then click his name.
If I hover over that table, a pie chart will appear. I can see that there are 11 free spaces, and 1 taken space. The SELECTION table to the right gives more insight into this table. Amir, who we just assigned to this table, appears here.
As you continue adding people, the pie chart and SELECTION table will reflect the table's guests.
If you have a large event, the staging area can get very cluttered. One way to help you organize guests is to put them into priority groups. Once you've done this, you can bring people into the staging area based on number. For more information on this process, refer to Prioritizing Tables.
If you need to clear named from the staging area, click the extinguisher icon. This will reset your staging area to be empty again.
You can search for guests in the search bar. If they've already been seated, their table number will appear next to their name.
If you click their name, they'll appear in the staging area, and you can re-seat them elsewhere. Please note that bringing their name into the staging area automatically removes them from the table they were placed at before you searched their name.
Thank you! If you have questions about this process, or any other features in SeatRobot, please reach out to support.
