If you're managing an event in SeatRobot with assigned tables, it's very likely that you'll want to prioritize which guests sit at certain tables. This is easy to do in SeatRobot.
For example, I've created an assigned table event in SeatRobot. I've established the room layout, and now I want to seat my guests.
However, when I choose people to place into tables, I see two labels - REGISTER (the total number of people who have confirmed they'll be attending my event) and PRIORITY 5. Right now, they are the same number (57).
PRIORITY refers to the priority level that's been assigned to a guest. Because I haven't assigned anyone a priority number, every guest is defaulted to 5.
To amend a our guest's priority numbers, we should navigate to GUEST LIST.
In our guest list, I can see that there is a new column that has appeared. It has a 5 next to all confirmed guests. This is our priority column, where we can assign levels of importance to certain guests to guide us in our seating assignments. SeatRobot's priority scale functions as 5 being the least important, and 0 or 1 being the most important.
To change a guest's priority level, click the number in this column that corresponds with the guest, and choose the priority level they should be assigned to.
Please note, if you amend the priority level of a guest that is linked to another guest(s), the people they are linked to will automatically be updated to that same priority level.
For example, when I update Felix Monroe to priority level 1, his wife, Gemma Monroe, automatically gets assigned to priority level 1 as well, because they are linked in the guest list.
Once you've assigned everyone in your guest list to the correct priority group, you can head back to seating people by clicking SEATING > SEAT GUESTS.
Now when you go to put INDIVIDUALS in the STAGING AREA, instead of everyone being assigned Priority 5 by default, they'll be sorted into the groups you've assigned to them.
For example, if I click PRIORITY 2, everyone who is currently assigned to that priority level will appear in my staging area. From here, I can place their names on tables.
Guests who are not linked to anyone else appear next to an icon of a singular person.
Guests who are linked to another guest will appear next to an icon of a group of people. Different colors denote different link groups. Linked guests must be placed at the same table. You will not be able to place them at different tables if you attempt to do so.
