The main purpose of filters is to help potential clients, guests and ticket purchasers find events and classes that are relevant to them on your events website.
For more information on this process, refer to Creating Filter Groups & Filters.
However, you can also make internal filters as a way to categorize your events in ways that make sense to your team, and makes them easier to find and group.
For example, you could create a filter group called 'Team Member' for the key individuals in your organization who create events. They could then apply their unique filter to each event they create. This would allow anyone with access to SeatRobot the ability to search for events affiliated with that team member.
To create filter groups, make sure you're in the admin portal (denoted by the cogs icon).
Then, navigate to FILTERS.
Click ADD FILTER GROUP.
The ADD FILTER GROUP modal will appear. Name the filter group whatever you want. Then, make sure CREATE GROUP DROPDOWN ON EVENTS PAGE? is unchecked. This ensures that this is a private, internal filter group that is not visible to anyone who visits your events website. Click SAVE.
At this point, you'll want to click ADD FILTER, and add everyone who belongs to this internal category.
Once you've added everyone, check the box next to their names to make it functional on the dashboard.
Now, you're able to apply these filters to events within your dashboard. Once you've applied these filters, you can navigate to your DASHBOARD to customize your display.
Click CUSTOM FILTERS.
The APPLY CUSTOM FILTERS modal will open. All of the public and internal filter groups my organization has established will appear here.
I report to Claire Adams and Noah Kerpan. Therefore, I only want to see events that are assigned their filter. To do this, I will check the boxes next to their names in the TEAM MEMBER filter group, then press SAVE.
I will toggle the CUSTOM FILTERS on to display only events that are affiliated with my preferred filter groups. You can toggle this display preference off at any time by click the green ON.
