'Viewers' are a type of user within ZenGRM. Their permissions only allow them to access certain events within their organization. The types of events they are allowed to access are determined by filter groups.
Why would you want to assign a user as a viewer? The most common reason for assigning viewer permissions are:
Adding people just for check-in (if you have on-site staff who are helping)
Adding an event partner from outside your organization
To assign filters to a viewer, you must have admin permissions. If you have admin permissions, you can access the admin portal (denoted by the cogs icon).
Next, navigate to USERS.
Identify the viewer you want to assign filter groups to. Viewers are denoted in green text. They will also have an extra icon in their ROLE column. Click this icon.
The APPLY CUSTOM FILTERS modal will open. Check the boxes next to the filters you want this person to have access to. Once you've selected your specifications, press SAVE.
Now, when the viewer logs in, their dashboard will only display events which have been assigned the filters you selected. If they click CUSTOM FILTERS, they will be able to see which filters they've been assigned to, but they won't be able to alter them.
