When you establish a third party event, you have a multitude of options to meet your event specifications. In this article, we'll discuss three distinct ways you can set up a third party event:
- Curated Guest List
- Distributed Guest List
- Curated / Distributed Combination
Curated Guest List
A curated guest list makes the most sense for your event if the 3rd party coordinators (TPCs) need to be very particular about who is included in their attendee list.
For example, the event I'm creating is a charity gala. Various corporations and organizations are buying sponsored tables. There will be a lot of VIPs in attendance. When a company buys a package, they nominate someone from their team to act as the TPC. That TPC is tasked with adding and/or inviting people from their company to attend the event. A lot of consideration is put into curating the attendee list, because the charity gala is serves as a networking opportunity for the organizations in attendance.
If this sounds like your event, you would choose CURATED LIST in the TYPE drop down menu when establishing the spots in your package.

Distributed Guest List
A distributed guest list makes the most sense for your event if you need to invite people in distinct groups, but within those groups, people can join on a first come, first served basis.
For example, I'm running an internal summit for my company. My company is divided into 10 distinct regions. I want 5 employees from each region to attend the summit. Therefore, I'm going to create 10 separate packages, representing each region. I'm then going to nominate a TPC for each region. I will provide them with a link to a registration page that has 5 available spaces. They can distribute this link to the employees in their region and encourage them to sign up if they want to attend the summit. Spots at the summit will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Curated & Distributed Combination
A curated & distributed attendee list is ideal if you have an event that is divided by VIPs (people who you specifically want to attend) and general admission (people who you want to attend if they express interest / decide to attend).
For example, the event I'm creating is a conference with prestigious guest speakers and networking opportunities. I'm inviting a variety of different companies and charities. When I create the packages for each company, I want part of the package to be reserved for VIPs, such as C-suite execs and department heads. Then, I want the other part of the package to be for staff with less seniority who are enthusiastic about attending the event.
