In this article, we'll review how to create multiple registration buttons to give your guests registration options.
To start, you'll click NEW EVENT in the dashboard.
Then, enter in your REQUIRED DETAILS, just like you would for any other event. For more information on this process, refer to Creating an Event in SeatRobot.
After entering in your required details, the REGISTRATION BUTTON pop up window will appear. If you want to make multiple registration buttons, you'd start creating your first button at this stage.
For example, my event will be a hybrid event, meaning there are places available for both in-person and virtual attendance. Therefore, I'll customize my first registration button to serve as my in-person option, then press SAVE INFO.
After saving that registration button, we'll be back on the SETUP page. To make the next registration button, click + CREATE NEW REGISTRATION BUTTON.
The REGISTRATION BUTTON pop up window will appear. I have customized this second button so it adheres to my specifications for virtual attendance to my event. Press SAVE INFO.
After creating your registration buttons, you should add any other details that are pertinent to your event (event description, venue details, web page image) and then visit your webpage to see your registration buttons in action. This is what my page looks like:
If everything looks good on your page, you will want to customize your confirmation emails so they have relevant information depending on which registration options guests choose.
Navigate to EMAILS.
Start by making a copy of your DEFAULT CONFIRMATION (or DEFAULT CONFIRMATION - TICKET if your event is ticketed)
You can make a copy by clicking the COPY icon to the far right.
At this point you'd amend the confirmation email that you'd want to correspond to that registration button using the same process that we've outlined above. The only difference would be that once you make a copy, you now have the ability to amend the TEMPLATE NAME. For the event I'm editing, there is a virtual attendance option. Therefore, I have created an 'Attending Virtually' confirmation email and amended the copy in the body of the email to reflect that.
Once I press SAVE, and land back on the EMAILS page, you can click the button ASSIGN CONFIRMATIONS TO BUTTONS.
A pop up window will appear, which allows you to assign different confirmation emails to different registration buttons. For my event, I want the DEFAULT CONFIRMATION email to be sent to attendees who registered using the 'Register - IN PERSON' button. I want the ATTENDING VIRTUALLY email to be sent to attendees who registered using the 'Register - VIRTUALLY' button. Once everything has been assigned accurately, press SAVE.
