Once you've established filter groups and filters, you can create custom URLs based on specific filters, or combinations of filters. Custom URLs are useful if you want to have an easy, shareable link that only contains events that are relevant to specific topics, locations, etc.
To start creating custom URLs, make sure you're in the admin portal (denoted by the cogs icon).
If you have a standalone account, the cogs icon will be in the top right hand corner of your screen:
If you have an enterprise account, the cogs icon will be in the top right hand corner of the events section of your dashboard:
Once you've landed in your admin portal, navigate to FILTERS.
All of the filter groups and filters your organization has created will appear on this page. Custom URLs can contain a combination of public and hidden filter groups. If a filter / filter group is visible on your organization's event's website, there will be an eye in the visibility column. If it is hidden from the event's website, there will be no eye in this column.
To start creating links, click CREATE CUSTOM URL.
The CREATE CUSTOM URL modal will open. You can use this modal to specify the functions of this URL.
In the CUSTOM URL NAME textbox, type in a unique name for your URL that denotes what it contains.
If you have a preference regarding FREE, ONLINE or PAID events, check one of those specific boxes. If this category is irrelevant, leave all boxes unchecked.
Then, specify which filters you want to be included in this URL. For my URL, I want it to only include our California locations. The department is irrelevant, so will leave the boxes in that filter group unchecked. My colleagues Anita and Markus want this URL to only include events where they are the point of contact. Therefore, I've checked the boxes next to their names in our internal filter group.
For more information regarding this process, refer to Applying Filters to Events.
Once you've selected all your specifications, click GENERATE URL.
To access your URL, click MANAGE CUSTOM URLs.
The MANAGE CUSTOM URLs modal will open. The URL you just created and any other URLs created within your org will display here. Click the copy icon to access your link.
If you paste this URL into your browser, the link will display all of the events that belong to the filters you selected.
If you ever want to delete a custom URL, simply return to the FILTERS page, click MANAGE CUSTOM URLs, then click the trash can icon next to the URL you want to delete.
