Filters are like tags you can apply to your events to assign qualities or groupings to them. You create filter groups, and then add different filters to those groups to assign to your events.
Once assigned to your events, those filters determine how your events are displayed internally on your dashboard and externally on your organization’s events website. Filters are also used to give event access to viewer users.
To add a filter to your event, first navigate to DASHBOARD.
To the right of your dashboard, you'll see an icon that looks like a square composed of bold dots and pale dots. This is the filters icon.
To associate a specific event with filters, click the filter icon in its row.
The APPLY FILTERS modal will open. To apply filters to a specific event, you would check the box next to all of the relevant categories.
For example, the event I'm editing is a Cardiac Comeback Workshop. It is taking place in Los Angeles, it falls under the Fitness, Health, Wellness topic and it is a workshop. Therefore, I'll check all of those boxes, then press SAVE.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have an online event that you want people to be able to attend regardless of location, and you have a filter group dedicated to location, make sure you check every location box. This ensures that your event will appear for people who apply the location filter that is relevant to them.
PLEASE NOTE: When filters are applied to a recurrent or series event, the filters are applied to all the events in the set.
After pressing SAVE, you will return to the dashboard. If you want your event to be publicly available on your events website, check the corresponding box in the visibility column. For more information regarding this process, refer to publishing an event.
When I visit my organization's events website, my filter groups will show up in the top right hand corner.
For example, when I click TOPIC, a drop down menu will appear with the options established by my organization in the filter groups.
When I click FITNESS, HEALTH, WELLNESS...
...the Cardiac Comeback Workshop appears, because I checked the box associating it with the relevant filter group.
