With ZenGRM, you can create a wide variety of events, classes, conferences, webinars, etc. No matter how you bring people together, ZenGRM can help you facilitate your comms, presentation and registration.
Some events are simple. Some events are complex. However, every event in ZenGRM has some essential requirements to meet your preferences. The following is a step-by-step guide that helps you understand the most fundamental steps to creating a successful event.
As always, you will start in your dashboard. Click NEW EVENT.
You will be redirected to the REQUIRED DETAILS table. Click EVENT MANAGER.
The CHOOSE EVENT MANAGER modal will open. Choose the person who will be managing this event via ZenGRM (likely yourself). Then click SELECT MANAGER.
Next, you can specify if you (or the event manager, if it is someone else) would like to be CC'd on all email comms that are generated from this event (such as confirmation emails, invites, etc.)
- If you want to receive all email CC's, you can leave this box unchecked.
- If you would prefer to not receive all email CC's, and monitor event updates from the guest list, you can check this box.
Next, complete the following fields:
- EVENT NAME: The title of your event. This will appear on the event web page.
- START DATE & END DATE: The day your event takes place. If your event takes place over more than one day, such as a conference, refer to Creating a Multiple Day Event.
- START TIME & END TIME: The beginning and end of the event.
- TIME ZONE: Alter this if different from default (Pacific)
- Once all fields meet your specifications, click SAVE.
At this stage, you will be automatically redirected to the REGISTRATION BUTTON modal.
- If your event is free, you will remain on this modal and adjust the registration specifications to your preference. For more information regarding this process, refer to Creating a Free Event.
- If your event is ticketed, you will adjust this registration button to ensure it's hidden from your event web page, and you will create a ticket instead. For more information regarding this process, refer to Creating a Ticketed Event.
Once you've set up your registration button and/or ticket, you should navigate to WEB PAGE.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page, on the left side, you'll see the SHOW / HIDE REGISTRATION INPUT FIELDS table. This lets you specify which information you want to gather from guests upon registration. For more information regarding this process, refer to Editing the Registration Input Fields.
Next, you should scroll up to the PAGE STYLE / CONTENT section. You can upload a cover image for your event web page. This will allow guests to understand more about your offering and help it stick out on your organization's ZenGRM Events Website. It will also make the event web page look more dynamic, which will increase registrations.
Next, navigate to SETUP.
At this point, you should label your event as one of the following options below. Please refer to their respective hyperlinks for more information regarding their workflows:
Then, you should add more contextual information to your event web page to describe your event. Please refer to their respective hyperlinks for more information regarding their workflows:
If you enabled waitlisting inside your event, you will likely need to customize the comms below. If you did not enable waitlist, you can skip this step.
Next, navigate to EMAILS.
Everyone who registers for your event will automatically receive a confirmation email. You can customize these emails by clicking their respective hyperlinks in the NAME column.
- If your event is ticketed, you will want to edit the Default Ticket Confirmation.
- If your event is free, you will want to edit the Default Confirmation.
As with any email you send within the ZenGRM platform, we highly recommend clicking SEND TEST EMAIL so you can see how your comms will appear to your recipients. Once your confirmation email matches your preferences, click SAVE.
Next, navigate to WEB PAGE.
Click PREVIEW EVENT WEB PAGE.
This is how your event web page looks currently. If there's something you'd like to alter, you can continue editing and adding content.
If this page meets your preferences, you can exit this page, and navigate to DASHBOARD.
Identify your event, then click the FILTERS icon to add the appropriate filters in your event. The APPLY FILTERS modal will open. You can select all relevant filters that apply to your event, then press SAVE. For more information regarding this process, refer to Applying Filters to Your Events.
If you want your event to be public on your events website, you can do so at this point. For more information regarding this process, refer to Publishing an Event.
