This article details how to manage registrations with plus ones (or more) for free events. If you need instructions for creating plus ones for ticketed events, refer to Individuals Included.
GUESTS PER REGISTRATION refers to how many attendees you want to be associated with a singular registration. You choose this when you're creating a free registration button.
For events where guests will be attending as a singular entity (you don't want them to have a plus one) you would type 1 into the provided textbox.
If you want your guests to have a plus one, you would type 2 into this textbox.
If you want your guests to have more than 1 plus one, you can put any number in here, from 3 to 5. This is how you can think about those numbers:
Primary Guest + 2 Plus Ones | GUESTS PER REGISTRATION - 3
Primary Guest + 3 Plus Ones | GUESTS PER REGISTRATION - 4
Primary Guest + 4 Plus Ones | GUESTS PER REGISTRATION - 5
An example of when this might be useful is if you're throwing an event where attendees are coming in groups such as families or coworkers. You'd want their registrations to all be affiliated. Therefore, a primary guest would register, then add their plus ones using the steps below.
If you choose to have 1 guest per registration, guests will appear like this in your guest list as they start registering for your event:
If you choose to have 2 or more guests per registration (in a free registration button), the guest that signs up will have the option to add the contact details for their GUEST-OF (plus one) by clicking the ADD GUEST INFO button in the GUEST OF... table after they've registered themselves.
If the guest clicks ADD GUEST INFO, the EDIT GUEST INFO modal will open. They can enter their plus one's contact details into the provided textbox, then click SAVE & CONFIRM GUEST.
As people start registering for your event, they will populate in your guest list. For more information regarding how to edit, add, confirm or delete plus ones, please refer to Plus One Management.
