The process for waitlisting has been upgraded to be more intuitive and functional.
Now, you can enable waitlisting on individual tickets. To do this, navigate to TICKETS inside your event.
You can create a new ticket by clicking the +TICKET button or clicking TICKET within the TICKETS / 3RD PARTY PACKAGES table.
The TICKET panel will expand on the right. To start, fill in all relevant provided fields. For more information regarding this process, refer to Creating a Ticketed Event.
By default, the WAITLISTED ALLOWED textbox will say 0. If you do not want this ticket to automatically become a waitlist button once it reaches capacity, keep this as 0, then press SAVE.
If you want to establish a waitlist for this ticket, type in the maximum number of waitlisted guests you'd like to be associated with this ticket, then click SAVE.
After clicking SAVE, the ticket panel will disappear. Click TICKETS / 3RD PARTY PACKAGES to expand that panel.
To make your ticket visible on your event web page, check the corresponding box under the visibility column (denoted by the eye icon).
Once you check that box, the EVENT REFUND POLICY modal will open. Select your preferred refund policy, then click DONE.
Before your ticket reaches capacity, it will appear on your event web page like so:
Once your ticket sells out, the title of the ticket will be appended with the word WAITLIST. When people register using that button, they will be added into the waitlist in your guest list.
Once your waitlist reaches capacity (according to the number you set up in the ticket panel) the words SOLD OUT! will display next to the ticket. The TICKET button will not be functional.
You can view your waitlisted guests in the GUEST LIST. They are delineated in blue.
You cannot move a guest who is waitlisted for a ticket into confirmed. This is because the guest themself has to purchase a ticket. However, if more tickets become available, you can send an email directly to waitlisted guests to let them know. For more information regarding this process, refer to Can I send announcement emails to waitlisted guests?
